Tall, foreboding shadow of the night
cast to scene by the wicked way
of familliar hauntings’ silent stirs
within the heart’s seen better day
a teasing want that crushes resolve
and cannot leave the dead to play
in reclusive darkness but instead
does thrust the light from out the gray.

Tear me to pieces
rip me apart
put it all back
and rebuild my heart
Go right ahead
don’t give it a thought
perhaps you can turn me
into something I’m not:
