As such, the silent words unspoken
yield a bittersweet aftertaste
on the palate of Love awoken
and twist a lonely tongue in haste
to words that smite and thus betoken
foul lies the forlorn truth replaced:
said silence which still stirs unbroken
yet lays a dying heart to waste.

The Worst Lie of All

Be quiet
deny it
but don’t say a word
I’m broken
unspoken
the things I have heard
Just give me
this moment
to believe the absurd
To be right
yet so wrong
the line is so blurred
As I sit
in the spit
of all that’s occurred
I just want
to know if
I’ll be remembered

Don’t know
just how to be
Don’t feel
free to be me
Don’t think
I can agree
Don’t show
what you won’t see
Don’t talk
my words might only make it worse.
