Unwilled, the midnight sun awakens
from the deepest dark dream sleeping
to call the forlorn heart awaiting
forth in light to cease the weeping
and leave lost longing unrequited.
For finding friends is better reaping
(have I captured your attention well?)
than for any false hope keeping.

Oh, my darling,
can’t you see
what your Love
has done to me?
I’d walk on water
through fire and ice
just to hold you
one more night.
But all my Love
and all my tears
cannot begin
to melt your Fears;
You must release them
on your own
and I must wait
here all alone…
