Wings

The beauty of Life
lies in the simple things:
the things we take for granted
like when Spirit gives us wings.
We forget to fly,
to even put them on
or, afraid to fly too high,
we may simply wait to long.
Tender hearts deny
deserving wings at all;
hardened hearts are heavy and
turn away from Spirit’s call.

that land along our way
